We all have those days where we hate everybody in the world and everything in life. Yeah, I have those days sometimes. However, I see other people around me and they look so happy and I guess the main reason for that is because they are optimistic.
Those people look forward to the good things in life and think of positive outcomes. Unlike them, I usually think of the worst case scenarios and stress about if for a good day or so. I think if we all are optimistic and have a good view in life, we can be happier.
1.) Let's look at the good things in life: We all usually take things for granted and just think of how bad our lives are. We should all be grateful for what we have, and be happy for good things in life. Even if it's something small like a compliment or no traffic while going to work, we should be happy for the small things in life. We should give ourselves a reward or look at what the good things in life can do for us.
2.) Think of good outcomes: Let's think of how a situation can turn out, and if it already happened think of it happening for the better. Didn't get to go to the movies? Think of it as a chance to spend time with yourself or family and just turn something into an opportunity
3.) smile: Smile when you can and when you feel down smile. Think of a better future and something good in life.
How I try to be optimistic: I look for the small things in life. I use getting a new phone as a motivation for me to work hard and just forget about things that don't matter. My dad said I will be getting a new phone after valentines day and I am looking forward to that and trying not to let things get to me. Also, I come home and watch Steve Harvey every day and it makes me happier. I look forward to coming home, eating, and watching my favorite shows. I think of Hawaii, and I even have the word all over my binders as a motivation for me. Find a motivation, look for the good things in life, and smile. :)
